When are cats full grown?

Question

I've read that somewhere between 8 and 12 months is when they are full grown. My one cat (left) seemed to grow after 1 year (he's 5 now, 9.5 pounds), the other (right) was 3 when we got him and is significantly bigger (16 pounds). Our newest addition (center) is over a year, was a little pudge when we got him at 8 months, he's grown since (longer?), still a bit pudgy (10.5 pounds) but thinning by the hips. Maybe the two are just small cats?

There body length stops growing after the year, but the mass and fat of them keeps on growing 😂

Depends on the breed of cat. My older cat I got her when she was 5, but I have no doubt she stopped growing long before then because she's a tiny little Siamese Mix. My younger cat was a stray and I took her in when she was roughly 1 year old. She didn't stop growing till she was 5. She's thought to be a Maine Coon/ Norwegian forest cat breed.
By 5, I believe all cats are completely grown up. I did a ton of research on cats and breeds to convince my mom to get me my senior cat over 10 years ago ;)

Jeffrey on the left is almost 1 in this picture and he is way bigger than Tess in the middle who is 4, Dexter on the right it about 7 months old and I think he will also be bigger than Tess, some cats are just bigger 🙂

All cats are different but mine took a few years to reach full size.
