Calpol in babies eye, what to do?!

He’s 11 months old and has HFMD , I gave him calpol with a syringe which usually just shoots to the back of his throat and it’s done really quickly! Well recently he fights it and as I was pressing it into his mouth it got stiff and he somehow hit it away and it shot up onto his face and a droplet size went into his eye.

Initially it took a few seconds for him to react to it and he kept rubbing it while seeming upset, at this point I’d already panicked and used his cloth to wipe his eye in general then I took him straight to the bathroom and got a load of cotton balls, filled them with water and just wiped his eye over and over and dripped water into it.

When shining a light into it , it doesn’t look pink/red or sore or anything so I’m wondering if he might be okay?

Also I’m asking on here because in the UK the doctors are closed on weekends !!
