Group B Strep - are you worried?

Question

I don’t know about other countries but in the uk group B strep is not routinely tested for therefore I have no idea if I have it or if it will affect my baby and therefore I will not receive any antibiotics before birth.

Is anyone else really worried about not knowing and the effects it could possible have on baby?

See that’s why I’m so worried. I could have it but they won’t test us for it here in the UK. I’m trying not to panic as I think of all the babies born in the UK who turn out perfectly fine and don’t get tested but you never know.

I have it, only got one round of antibiotics because I progressed so quickly. Her blood work originally came back a little high due to the strep b. They tested her again before they would let us leave and thankfully her levels had gone down. We just got discharged from the hospital because they required us to stay for the full 48 hours due to the strep b.

Jesus. I have it and they take it seriously in Canada. It can be very serious for baby. 
They want at least four hours of antibiotics in me before delivery
