A book being banned in Texas

Apparently there’s a book called The Hate U Give that is being pulled from the school districts shelves in Texas? What do you guys think about that and do you know more about it? It’s saying here the superintendent trying to take it down says it’s talking about drug use and sexuality and is inappropriate but from my personal experience I’ve read books about both in my high school library so does that mean the books weren’t supposed to be in my library when I was in school or is it just this specific school district? And also would you want your kids reading it or would you more appreciate it if they did so they could talk about current social issues? I personally don’t agree with them taking it off the shelves.
