Cleaning cat box while Pregnant?

I just recently found out I am pregnant on Sat. I believe I am about 5 weeks and a few days. But I have heard you are NOT allowed to clean the cat box. What did you do? did you clean it yourself? did you make your husband do it? See I'm in a bit of a sticky situation. My bf and I split up about a month ago and I am currently all by myself. Would it be okay if I used gloves and a a doctor mask.

I use litter box liners. I just tie the bag up, chunk it and put a new bag and litter in.

Ammonia is super bad for you but if you cant have anyone do it id get a mask n gloves

I made my husband do it but he used to travel a lot and I would have to do it. My son is over a year old and perfectly healthy. It’s very unlikely if your cat is only indoors that they have toxioplasmosis. My obgyn never really seemed too concerned about it.

My husband does it but given your situation, I think gloves and a mask should be okay. Just double check with your doc!
