So excited I had to share

Heidi • Married 27/12/2017 💍 Baby #1 due 29/11/2018 💙 Boy!

First time posting.

Fiancé (31) and I (32) are just beginning our TTC journey.

I had my Implanon removed 20 days ago. I’ve had three consecutive lots of them, totalling about 8 years, and I was on the BCP for about 5 years before that.

Dr said it was both possible and healthy to fall pregnant straight away after removal, but I’m dubious about that. Given that I haven’t had a proper cycle or period in almost 10 years, I thought it would take quite a while to get back on track.

I started using OPKs immediately to see if I was even going to ovulate this month. Every single strip was stark white, except for the control line.

Until 2 days ago. I had EWCM, so I test and got a VFL. I was so excited. Clear Blue Digital was just an empty circle. I wasn’t worried, because I thought I’d give a few more days and I should be getting close. Yesterday I had so much EWCM it was almost gross (but that cool kind of gross, like watching pimple popping videos on YouTube). Test still very faint. Today I tested at 4pm when I got home from work. VFL. Went out and did the grocery shopping, came home, had dinner, thought I’d test again. Line was darker. Woo. Getting close. Went and showed the other half and said maybe another 24hrs or so. Had a shower, got out, curiosity got the better of me. Tested with Clear Blue Digital. Packed some toiletries for our wedding/honeymoon in less than 2 weeks. Checked the test, and there was a big fat smiley face!! Woooo!! My body is going back to normal! And it also explains the annoyingly painful dull cramps I’ve been having right near my pelvis. Aren’t we lucky to be women?!

Grabbed my other half and told him it was time to get busy. Lol. Luckily we’ve BD’d every day for the past 6 days, just to cover all bases (and will continue to do so for the next few days).

We head over to the USA on Christmas Day (we’re Aussies), and get married at Graceland Chapel in Las Vegas on December 27.

I told him we’ll do a HPT the morning of our wedding day :)

Wish us luck!!
