When should I get started on the nursery? Haven't bought a thing and I am 22 weeks.

we're moving about 2 months before the baby is born, so to make moving easier we won't buy for the nursery til after the move. even if we weren't moving I would have liked to wait til I was in my 3rd trimester before doing the nursery

Anytime you feel like you need to start in order to finish before the 30’s weeks. 😂 I was all energy then hit a brick wall at 31 weeks and i haven’t made any progress since. Good thing I’ve fished almost everything but now it’s a real struggle and not pleasant to do any of this set up.

We rushed to get my little guy’s nursery done. I was put on bedrest at 32 weeks and we had only finished it days before. It was PERFECT. Beautiful crib, homemade bookshelves, gorgeous wall decor... then we had baby and HE DIDN’T SLEEP IN HIS ROOM FOR THE FIRST TEN MONTHS. This next baby is getting a co-sleeper in our room. 
Having a beautiful nursery is wonderful, and it really helps things seem more “real” when you are pregnant. That being said, don’t stress if it isn’t perfect or even finished before baby arrives. He/she probably won’t even use it for several months. The American Academy of a Pediatrics recommends room sharing for the first year of baby’s life.

I'd slowly start buying stuff. Do you plan on having a baby shower? If so, don't buy any big stuff or a lot of clothes because people will get you plenty of clothes, diapers and other bigger items. You still have half way to go, so you've got plenty of time. Maybe think of a theme you want. Start a registry if you're having a baby shower. Once you pick your theme you can paint the room, (pick a pregnancy safe paint, or have the hubby do it). The one thing we did buy ourselves was the furniture. Crib, dresser, rocker, changing table, (which never got used). Just slowly start putting things together.

we had a crib, and a bassinet but I slept with him from the time he was born til now.. he's a snuggle bug and I breast feed for awhile so it seemed logical. Pic for attention
