Ending BFing!

I have mixed emotions right now and now and wanted to see in any other January moms have ended their BF journey recently.

My daughter is starting to bite again and this time she doesn’t appear to want to give it up. She will be one on the 19th of January and her doctor prefers to start milk after the first birthday. Hubby & I are taking a 4 day getaway in the new year (if I last 4 days without my baby lol) and I was thinking this would be the perfect time to wean her from the actual boob and maybe just go to pumping so she can have boobie juice and start real milk. I have a small freezer supply already.

She comfort nurses most of the time. I literally lay on the floor with my boobs out and she nurses while watching tv. I love being able to feed her but I know it will be really hard to break her of her habits. She also nurses before naps & bed.

I don’t want it to be over but I don’t want to get bit anymore LOL. Is anyone else in the same boat? Or has anyone stopped recently? I have such mixed feelings about it but then I remind myself of the pain she causes me when she tries to bite my nipple off.
