Induction story?? Tell me

My due date is December 18th and they scheduled an induction for December 20th... I’m a ftm and just looking to hear some stories and what to expect going in to the induction... what medication/ method did they use

I was induced with my son. I was 38 wks. It started at 11am and I gave birth to him at 5:26pm. So only 6 hrs. They gave me pitocen and I had an epidural. When it was time to push he come out quick. The only issue was it took me a lil longer to stop bleeding after giving birth but I was fine afterward.

I was hooked up to pitocin at 8 pm and by 6 am my baby was born.  The nurse had turned the pitocin up pretty high since I was responding so well and I ended up having about an hour of contractions without any breaks between them while having severe diarrhea but once the pitocin was turned down I was able to relax enough to get an epidural.  After the epidural I slept until 5 am when I was woken up for a cervix check and told it was time to push.

Don’t expect it to happen quickly, I was induced at 37 weeks due to having Gestational Diabetes and my baby having low fluid amounts. I went in on the Friday, had 2 lots of the gel and then the third on the Saturday morning and I wasn’t even 1 cm dilated before I got it. 
Sunday they managed to give me a sweep because I’d dilated to 1cm after the last gel on the Saturday. So they gave me that and I had another lot of gel. Monday morning I got the third gel and was still only about 1cm dilated after being up all night Sunday night in pain thinking it was maybe starting to happen. Nope. 
The gel simulates contractions and that’s where my pain was coming from they weren’t real contractions. 
Got sent home again after the gel and another sweep (now 2cms dilated) and told to go back in on the Tuesday morning and go straight to labour ward to get my waters broken 
I went home and took a bath, went to bed at about 9, I was exhausted from lack of sleep at the hospital. Around 11pm that night my waters broke and I had to go away to the hospital. 
I was induced on a Friday morning and  baby wasn’t born until 9:52am the following Tuesday morning

My experience was horrible. But yeah it’s not fast at all I was in labor for 36 hours.

with my first induction I was 38 week + 5 days due to cholestasis they started with cervadil at 5 pm and it didn't last not even 2 hours about 15 after they put it in I started contracting and they took it out close to 2 hours the. about 5 hours later they started pitocin I was progressing very slow but finally made it to 10 centimeters and I give birth 17 hours after they started the cervadil. and this time around I'll be induced ones more because of cholestasis but this time at 37 weeks which will also be on the 20th of December at 5 pm and will do it with the same meds. good luck to you and wishing you a easy labor and delivery and a speedy recovery

I was in labor 24 hours.. contraction where they should’ve been but wouldn’t dilate past 4cm even after they broke my water which led to emergency c-section (bc they were worried about hemorrhaging) about 30 hours after I got there
