To my married sisters, do men ever change?

All those little things that men do in their youth (like, I don’t know, going to the bar and not answering their phone or lying about it).....
Does it change eventually? Does marriage make them grow up? Is there hope? Please advise

Marriage is not going to change them. Trust me!! Don’t get married in hopes of that. Men change if they want to. My husband has changed a tiny bit since we met but not much. You just have to decide if you can accept the things you don’t like.

so many people get married thinking "once we are married they will grow up, they will change". It's just not true! YOU can't change anyone else! people only change when THEY want to change. the best predictor of future behaviors is past behaviors. I'm not saying people can't change, they can, but they won't change for others they will only change when THEY want to. putting a ring on it isn't going to change them, nor is a legal piece of paper.

I agree with the other ladies, find a good one and don’t get married until you do!  I’ve been with my husband for 16 years, married 14, and he’s always been good to me from day one.  Hence the long marriage! 😬👍  you won’t question the right guy for you.

I will be the oddball and say they can change. BUT it has to be something they want to do. Before we were married my husband cheated on me with his sex. I broke it off immediately but I was still in love with him. After 3-4 months we eloped. Probably not the smartest decision but I felt he had changed. Now we’ve been married for 6 years and have a daughter and are ttc #2. We’ve never had anymore infidelity issues. Not even a doubt in my mind. He did a complete 180. It’s a night and day difference how he treats me now compared to when we were dating and he was cheating. So they can change for a person they really want to. But I don’t think it happens very often. I feel like what happened to me is rare. My family LOATHED him. Now they all love and accept him cuz they see he loves me and takes care of his family.

my hubby stays home..we go to his friends to drink together...but were always together..hes never ever gone at night for the past 5 years...so ..so far i thinks hes been a settled faithful man...

My husband and i got together when he was 18 i was 20. We had a few issues early on. Now that i look back on it i think it was he was so young and never experienced much of his youth. He never physically cheated but was talking to few people on social media that was appropriate. But now we have been married for over 3 years together for 9 and have a baby boy on the way. He is absolutely amazing and i could never imagine him doing the things he did when he was younger. So i hit it depends on the man and circumstances. But i don’t think anyone can make someone change for good unless that person wants to.
