Who else is thinking about catching an Uber to not pay that crazy Ambulance fee?

My SO is an Uber driver so he might not be available right away, my mother in law lives like 2hours away so she wont be either So he told me just get an Uber, hospital only like 20min away I could drive but i dont want to risk it

If baby holds out until our c-section date, hubby will be driving me. but if she comes early and I have to get there in the middle of the night, I'd rather take an uber so he can stay with our 4yo. we don't have any family where we live and I don't want to have to drag him out of bed  if I have to head to the hospital in the middle of the night. But again, I'm really hoping baby can wait the 7 days till my parents get here.

We drove to hospital but didn’t make it. Had no choice but to call the ambulance for after the delivery on side of the road. Honestly, you do whatever you can in the moment that makes sense. I read a story about someone who just delivered in an Uber! Alls I know is that there was NO WAY I could have personally been driving when I was in transition. I would have gotten us into a wreck.
