They need to pierce it with a stud to heal correctly!

If you’re right handed do left side and if you’re left handed do the right side. Definitely start with a stud!!! Change to a hoop a few months after you get it done or whenever you feel it has healed & you’re comfortable enough to change it (:

i think you'd look great with a small hoop on the right side of your nose!

you can always start with a stud then change to a hoop, be sure to tell them you’ll want to switch to a hoop later when they’re doing the placement

They usually won't pierce with a hoop because it moves to much and irritates the healing process. If you decide you want to switch to a hoop please let the piercer know so they can do a correct placement. It makes a world of difference.

A stud is better because it heals faster than a hoop. A trustworthy piercer will tell you a stud is the way to go.
