Harmless or In poor taste?

Question

Ok so we all know the social media posts that say things like “Short girls winning, black girls winning, chubby guys winning, latinas winning, thick girls winning” and the list goes oooonnnn. 
So my question is, are these post just harmless social media posts that don’t mean anything, or are they putting down others who don’t fit into the category?
Im stuck right in the middle of it being harmless but in poor taste also, so what do you think?

I don’t understand why it would be in bad taste. Correct me if I’m wrong here, but It’s generally used by marginalized groups as an empowerment thing right? 
If it doesn’t apply to me, I don’t give it a second thought. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I think it’s fine. It’s not like they are saying things to harm or offend others. They’re just celebrating something that makes them unique. It’s different than the sayings like “Only real women have curves” or things along those lines

They’re harmless until people put down others while doing it 🤔 thats really the only problem. Some people can’t embrace who they are without putting down the other side and that isn’t right.

I think the way you wrote it is fine, but when they start shaming another group to lift themselves up, that’s not okay. Like “real women have curves” which totally skinny-shames women.

Eh doesnt bother me. If someone feels like they are “winning” due to things they can’t control like height or whatever, let them be excited to share their super cool meme

As a tall skinny white girl I don’t really care. It doesn’t offend me or anything. I prefer the sort of things that include all bodies but I know short chubby woc have it tough.

I see how it could be both. I think it's mostly harmless but I know some people feel put down by it e.g. when All About That Bass came out I knew a girl who kept complaining "what about us skinny girls? This makes me feel insecure about my body" & I wanted to say "everythings always been about skinny girls, let the big girls in on it" but you also can't just tell someone their feelings are totally invalid & they should quit whining. Also I think their are better ways to show your pride for being short or black, etc.

saying anything "winning" is positive. we should say MORE  of it. saying anything "losing" or "sucks" is putting something/one down. and that's not ok. it's ok to be proud. we all have heritage,  organizations,  affiliations... it's ok to be proud of them. it's not ok to put others down.
