when to go to the hospital...

Question

so my contractions with my last two were always irregular...I have strep b this this time so I'm supposed to go in right away. well the last few days I've had "normal" contractions/cramping last about 60 to 90 seconds and stop for between 2 to 4 minutes (usually 2 minutes) for about 2-3 hours continuous. pain is very manageable. I'm just frustrated not knowing when to go in!

I was strep b positive too and a FTM so I called my doctor to ask. They have me come in when my contractions were 7 mins apart lasting for 1 min (this was happening for like 4 hours). 
But I will say, I got there and was only dilated to 2cm, so they had me walk for 2 hours, rechecked me and I was still at a 2. They said they would send me home but thankfully my contractions intensified right after the second check and I got to stay. After that, I progressed so quickly and ended up delivering a couple of hours later. We only got one round of antibiotics in. 
So it’s tough to say because no one can really predict how fast you might progress and you need those antibiotics.
