Reglan?

Question

Has anyone been prescribed Reglan for increasing your milk supply and it worked? My doctor prescribed it to me and I’m on day one of taking it. I just want to see how well it worked. 
Did your supply stay up once you stopped taking it?

I took it too. And I did start to notice improvements with supply. But as soon as my supply started increasing I started having side effects. It caused me to have the muscle spasms in my face that they warn about in the prescribing info packet that comes. I can't remember the name of it. Tardis diskenesia or something like that I believe it was called. It said to stop use immediately if that side effect occurred and that it could happen in the arms too. I was so worried it would start in my arms and I'd end up dropping my baby, I had to stop taking it. I was so upset. My supply had gotten so low and that was my last chance at breastfeeding my daughter. After I stopped taking it I finally switched her completely to formula. We gave it a good go, tried everything else like mothers milk supplements and increased water intake, everything. We tried for 5 months. But I finally came to terms that it just wasn't meant to be. But that side effect was awful. It affected the whole right side of my face. It didn't start until I'd been taking it for almost a week though.

I took it and it did seem to help with supply, but I had terrible side effects. It made me feel like I was going crazy. insane mood swings, very angry and very sad. Plus tummy upset. I first thought it was just my hormones, but I went back to normal feeling after I stopped taking it, and then I was prescribed it again and felt the same way again that's when I noticed it was the meds. After some googling, I found that this is a common complaint. 
Lots of oatmeal and lots of water really helped as well. And of course, letting baby nurse as much as they want to.
