Has anyone pierced themselves?

Yes I’m dumb lol, I’ve actually let “my little sister” pierce my ears for me 😂 shes 10 and recently pierced my nose myself. It was literally just on a whim and it turned out perfect and I didn’t even spend $10 to do it. I want to pierce my belly button next. If you have your belly button pierced can you tell me what I should know about it

STOP PIERCING YOURSELF AND OTHERS.
You can do unrepairable damage. You can hit nerves that can paralyze parts of your face or kill you. You can get infections that send you to the hospital. You can get scar tissue that makes it harder to re pierce properly in the future. Wait until you're 16 and get parental permission. You aren't cool for doing this.

DO NOT PIERCE YOUR OWN BELLY BUTTON. It's a more complicated piercing than your ears or nose (both thin tissue.) If you have not been trained you will likely pierce too shallow or crooked or something equally terrible. If you're lucky, you'll just have some wonky scar tissue on your stomach. Go to a professional.

I’ve pierced my own ears before. I did 8 piercings in my ears by myself, not in cartilage though only the lobe area as its dangerous to attempt to pierce cartilage. I have 13 piercings (I think? Might be more I stopped counting a while ago), including my lip, belly etc. I’m all for piercing ears yourself, and the nose if you’re extremely careful and know what to do, but DO NOT pierce your belly yourself!! It’s extremely dangerous, there are arteries etc that you just can’t see from the outside. The way it has to be pierced for it to be safe is very specific and requires lots of training, I’m not sure if you’ve ever seen how a belly is pierced but its nothing like a regular piercing, you need special equipment etc. If you mess it up even the tiniest bit, you can bleed out and die within minutes. Its not worth the risk. Don’t be cheap, go pay someone to do it SAFELY for you! As someone who is covered in tattoos and piercings and have pierced and tattoo’d myself several times, please take my advice. Experimenting is fun and can turn out great but this time you need to get it done properly. There are way too many risks

I pierced my nose myself when I was like 15, later had to have a professional do it because it wasn’t done right and the rings I would try to put in wouldn’t go all the way through, I would just push them through never letting my nose heal and causing it to bleed. The nose may seem simple enough but I sure as hell would NOT pierce my own belly button. It would probably turn out crooked and painful and not to mention that’s a bad spot to get an infection or do it incorrectly
