Honestly it's not hard only challenging as you grow as a mother and establish a relationship and routine with your child. The whole first year is learning and growing. None of that is hard, it's an amazing experience. Don't focus on the "hard" aspects. Appreciate where you when you first give birth to the week you are PP. Because each week will face a new challenge and you'll be surprised how much a week can make a difference.

The first two weeks is the worst.

The first 2 weeks were hell.... I was hormonal as hell, so sleep deprived, my stomach felt like a water bed, breastfeeding was painful & exhausting..ugh. Hopefully with #2 it won't be so bad cause I'll know what to expect.

I say the first few weeks. If it’s your first kid everything’s brand new to you, they eat every 2-3 hours at that time so you’re constantly waking up through the night, and your bodies tired and sore from giving birth.

As a new mom, the first few weeks were the toughest. Recovering from giving birth, I was severely anemic, (obviously) sleep deprived, hormonal and emotional, scared as shit that I didn't know what I was doing, etc etc. Once I got into a routine and started feeling better physically and emotionally it was pretty much smooth sailing until my son was 9 months. That's when he decided he wanted to wake up 483936 times a night and by that point I was back at work and just feeling awful from the lack of sleep. He eventually grew out of that phase though.

After week one until like month three or four was the hardest. It's like he snapped outta something and unless he was in my arms he was screaming. It made it hard to shower/brush teeth/pee! He's 14 months and I adore him! He's actually still pretty clingy though. But he loves his dad now So that means i can shower/brush teeth and pee alone (most the time now)

I also personally have found the last month of pregnancy is more painful than the postpartum period. And I had a 24 hour labor and third degree tear! But that’s just my opinion! Plus you can take pain meds and ibuprofen once baby is out!
