This year:

January marked one year of Unsuccessfully TTC. I found out my brother impregnated his one night stand the same day. In April, my husband lost his job (he gained another)

In July, my husbands mother, who survived breast cancer in 2014, found out that it came back and spread everywhere. Despite being testing negative 3months prior. She died a week and a half later.

My husbands father died when he was two and he had no siblings, grandparents, aunts/uncles or cousins. We were completely alone in handling her death.

Right after she died, my husband broke his foot and was couch bound for a month.

We inherited her house, a very nice house, but found out she had a mountain of debt. We filed probate.

This Christmas we couldn’t afford to get each-other gifts because we had to pay her back owed property taxes and to close on probate, about $7000. Yesterday, we had to put my husbands family cat down.

In September we found out we were expecting. We remained cautious. I was born with heart defects. I was scared I’d pass them on.

Last Wednesday we got a call that we tested positive for Spina Bifida at 18 weeks.

We drove 200 miles two Seattle to have an emergency high resolution ultrasound.

The ultrasound showed absolutely NO abnormalities, not even in the heart. They let us know we are having a girl, and she’s perfect ❤️
