My son has been on Similac Advance since he was born (11/22/17) and last Tuesday (12/19/17) my son started pooping hard pellets/balls. He would scream when trying to use the bathroom. He did that for a day and then I called his doctor and they recommended apple juice. I did that for 2 days and nothing happened. So dr wanted to see him. The dr put him on Similac Alimentum and he’s been on it for 3 days now and I’ve seen no improvement. Everything’s still the same. The dr said give a week to see how he does, but I see no change. She also recommended prune juice, rectal thermometer, Karo syrup, and sugar water. I’ve done apple and prune and nothing. I’m fixing to try to Karo. Any suggestions?! I’m afraid he is going to get sick from not pooping. How long should a formula take for him to get use to it?!
