TMI : period or???

Hopefully someone can help! So this month I started my “period.” earlier in the day I was getting uncomfortable cramps. Once I was about to leave to work i decided to put a tampon in to be safe. Later that night I got my period It’s was a medium flow and I changed my tamping put a new one in went home and the tampon had brownish discharge. For the rest of the day my period was gone. The following morning I wiped and there was blood, once I was done whipping my period was gone. The next few days had brown discharge and light cramping but no period? Has this happened to anyone? 😰
