How much does your 7 week old weigh?

My LO was only 9.6 lbs at 6 weeks. Isn't that too small?

Mine turned 6 weeks yesterday and he weighs 8 pounds 6 ounces. He was born at 7 pounds 1 ounce, dropped to 6 pounds 2 ounces in the first week. He has Cystic Fibrosis, though, so he has a hard time gaining weight. He had a meconium plug at birth as well (another common CF problem) so I think that accounted for a lot of the weight he “lost”. As long as your pediatrician isn’t worried, don’t worry! Mine is happy about my sons weight, even though he seems small to most!

Its all about the starting point of the baby at your 8 weeks shots they will be able to tell you what percentile your baby is in. But your baby isn't small.

My daughter was 11.9 pounds at her 2 month appointment (at 8 weeks). She was born at 7.11 pounds.
