Parents dont like boyfriend and vice versa

so basically, I'm not supposed to date but I'm been dating this guy I've known for years for about 2 months now. somehow (me or him don't know how) his mom heard some stuff about me and so when I met her she didn't talk to me at all ( I was around his family so it's wasn't as awkward) then I finally had the guts to tell my mom and so my family met him but my mom basically interrogated the hell out of him making it awkward the rest of the night and then she said rude stuff about him like how he loves with his mom (he helps her with bills) and they live in a trailer park and he had to leave the military for medical leave (my dad was in the military and he thinks my boyfriend is lying) my mom specifically said he's not going to be a part of this family but (eventually) we plan on getting married and having kids. so what should I do? break it off or just prove my parents wrong?? I'm 17 and he's 19 btw..we live 2 hours from each other but he's moving up here in a few months while I stay in college
