3D ultrasounds?

when is the best time to do 3-4D ultrasounds? I hear different opinions. "third trimester, because you can see more of the profile" and "mid-late second trimester because they're more active and you can see more movement". I want to hear your opinion on when to go in for a 3D ultrasound. I am 21 weeks today, and thought of doing them in a few weeks.

We’re not doing a 3D because I want the first time I see our babies faces to be when we meet them, but we’ve been told on multiple occasions that if we did want to it would be best results between 28 and 32 weeks.

They recommended anywhere between 28-32 weeks for me. They said anything later the baby has less space and it makes it harder to get a good picture. I did mine at 29 weeks and it was perfect!

Call the place you want to have it done & ask them. They do it all day long and will probably know best.

I would say 3rd trimester that way you get a closer look at what they will possibly look like. I never got why people get 3d , hd live at like 12 ,13 weeks etc but to each its own
