Progesterone?

Question

Has anyone had to take Progesterone vaginally during early pregnancy? I am at 10 weeks and I just got the call tonight that I need to start taking it and of course I’m freaking out 😔

I do! I started at 25 weeks because I went into preterm labor. I've been taking it for a couple weeks now and it's helped lengthen my cervix so much! I think they are really helpful, i wouldn't stress.. it's normally to prevent something that could end up being a problem 😊

Yes, I did IVF and took it from the beginning until 10w along with estrogen pulls.  Other than the suppositories leaving a bit of a mess, it wasn't any real trouble and helped reassure me that my hormone levels were healthy enough to sustain the pregnancy.  I'm now 24w along and all is well.  Good luck.

I'm on progesterone shots twice a day. I wish I had the suppository!!

I did it. I asked the doctor if I could and he wrote the prescription because it doesn’t hurt even if ur levels are normal. I had had too many miscarriages before to chance it. That was with my son (my first), I’m pregnant now and did t ask to take it but thought about it. It’s not bad and nothing to be worried about. Usually people don’t need to take it their whole pregnancy.
