possible yeast infection??

Okay so I feel super humiliated right now. the past two days the inside of my vagina has been super itchy and feels irritated when I wipe. I haven't had sex at all and I've checked in a mirror but i don't see any white clumps?? I read the length of pubic hair can cause this feeling too?? I haven't shaved lately so maybe it's that??? maybe it's the body wash I've been using that are knocking my ph levels off?? I heard monistat is helpful for itching. I really don't want to tell my mom because I don't want her to jump to conclusions plus my doctor is a guy and I don't feel comfortable going to talk about this. Yes I know it's my health we're talking about but I have my reasons. Someone please help, the itching comes and goes. I'm asking you ladies for help because Google isn't reliable and you most likely can walk me through this ( I know I must go to the doctors but please)
