Rook Piercing Pain

Hey everyone, so recently - on a whim - I decided to get my rook pierced. Please note I am not new to tattoos or piercings. I have had my cartilage pierced for 10 years, a retired snug, conch, belly button and forward helix along with 3 tattoos so you could say my pain threshold is rather high, however, when I say retired, it was because I was cleaning them wrong, changed the jewellery too soon, got infected or rejected. It's been exactly 10 days since I had it done. The piercing itself was a 1 on a scale of 1-10 but the pain I feel now is EXCRUCIATING when fiddled with. My WHOLE EAR feels bruised as if I was punched in the side of the head. If I even touch it going to tie my hair back, I see stars. I've read in a few online forums of others having similar pain but wanted to know if anyone on here had a similar experience? And if so, how long this throbbing ache lasts.. I was fine from day 1-5 and there is only SLIGHT swelling and redness but nothing crazy. Also, just a little crusty in the morning. Have been using H2Ocean twice daily as aftercare routine. Thoughts?
