Coming off contraceptive pill

I come off my contraceptive pill just over a month ago, and have just had my first period. Its been SOOO nasty! How did everyone else get onnif they've come off the pill?

I came off because I lost a lot of weight before going on the pill, before the pill I was so over weight that I never had periods and if I did they were every 7-8 months. So I came off to see if I could get a regular pattern with my periods as they were so erratic when I was on the pill! Just wondered if anyone else was going through the same!
