I need some advice...

Details on the situation: My daughter will be 1 in 3 weeks. Her father left when she was 3 weeks old. He has had very minimal contact with me and contacts me once in a great while to tell me that I’m doing a “great job” and that “he’s sorry.” Never asks about her. Never asks to see her. Nothing. I have never denied him time with her and have always said he is more than welcome to come see her when he has contacted me. He has a drug problem and spent a year in rehab prior to me meeting him.

Anyways, I filed for custody back in March and it took until November for us to finally get a court date, because he defaulted on everything. To both me and my attorneys surprise, this moron showed up to court! We were beyond shocked lol! The judge asked him what he wanted and he said “every Wednesday and every other weekend” He was not awarded any custody and was ‘advised’ by the judge to spend 2 hours a week supervised with her until we go back to court in the beginning of February. He met privately with MY attorney after the court case to come up with a time for the 2 hours supervised and in that meeting he told my attorney “well... I mean... I uhhh.. I don’t really want her over night” 🙄 LIKE WHY WOULD YOU TELL THE JUDGE YOU DID THEN? Ughhh

However, it has now been a month and a half since we’ve been to court and this assface has yet to see his daughter once. Or even contact me expressing any interest. I am beyond confused as to why he even showed up to court if he’s not going to try and see her.

Any advice? Anyone tell me what might happen when we go back to court in Feb? I am just beside myself and don’t know what to expect.
