Can you dye your hair while pregnant?

My husband and I are trying to get pregnant. My ovulation is on the 1st. My hair now is platinum blonde and has to be dyed often to stay maintained. I planned on going to a salon to get my hair dye to my natural color so I would not have to dye it but worried what if I was pregnant? Hair dresser can’t get me in tell January 24. What would I do?

You can color your hair, but many recommend waiting until after the first trimester or doing highlights so the color doesn’t touch your scalp. Make sure wherever you have it done is well ventilated. Also note that many women’s hair doesn’t color the same was as when not pregnant, so the color could be different. If you’re not pregnant yet, and want to be low maintenance while pregnant, go ahead and go closer to your natural color.

My OB told me you can dye your hair as long as it’s ammonia free, just tell the person at the salon and they’ll know what products to use

id avoid bleaching but you can def dye it. just be in a well vented area (like you should be when you’re not pregnant haha) maybe dye it darker to avoid having to maintain it but do whatcha want and ask your obgyn cus mine had no problem with me wanting to dye mine

no you cannot have your hair bleached. while pregnant your hair reacts much differently to dye anyhow.
just let it be and allow it to grow
