Things I’ve panicked about during my 1st pregnancy - a list 😂

Ziggy

I’m at 15 weeks now and I had my first, tiny BH contraction. I’m panicking about it, so to calm myself down I’m posting my anxiety journal of all the things that have worried me to tears throughout the course of this pregnancy:

- 5-14 weeks: Miscarriage. 24/7 anxiety

- 8 weeks: Abnormal brain development (I was looking at the sonogram wrong - I confused his butt for his head 😂)

- 9 weeks: Got a flu shot. Thought I’d have a reaction and miscarry

- 12 weeks: The dog sort of jumped on my belly ever so slightly. I read about first trimester abdominal trauma for two hours.

- 13 weeks: Mercury (I took shark cartilage supplements for a few months, but stopped way before I got pregnant. I still convinced myself they were loaded with mercury)

- 14 weeks: Cytomegalovirus (every time I saw a kid under 5 yo, I literally ran away) and Listeria (ate a sandwich from Quiznos and realized halfway through I forgot to ask them to toast it a second time)

I’ve scared myself sick over something new every week. This too shall pass. People been having babies for hundreds of years - I’m not the first one to experience this stuff. It’s gonna be alright 💪🏻

Note: Shout-out to my fantastic fiancé, who held me through every single one of these crying fits, runs away from small children with me, and checks the listeria recalls daily. That man is my hero.
