Love letters in sketch books?
I bought my boyfriend these toned grey/toned tan sketch books in September just for fun. He’s enjoyed them a lot. Here is one piece from a grey one:

For Christmas I bought 3 more. Multi colored pastel, black, and white.

I wrote a “letter” to him in the back of all 3, and I’m nervous about it. While flipping through the pastel one, he immediately opened it from the back first 😬😬😬

The back of the black one that he hasn’t read yet:

& the large white one is too personal to post, but we’ve been through a LOT since we met in July. Ranging from battling substance abuse to legal issues to outside interference of multiple girls that are friends with my ex harassing me about him ~cheating on me with them~... only for them to say “it’s simply fun to bother her” when my ex messages them asking “why in the actual fuck are you saying this to her when it isn’t true”... so much bullshit from people trying to tear us down.
Would you artists enjoy these letters in the back of your sketch books? I don’t know if he ever plans to have these on display for clients to pick them up and look through them, but I just wanted to give words of encouragement/my love into something that is a huge part of his existence. He’s debating quitting/taking a hiatus from the tattoo world, so that’s where my “whether it’s a profession or hobby” remark comes from. He will always be an artist if he does it as a career or not, and I know some projects can get frustrating. Even on his bad days I think he’s amazing 🤷🏼♀️, but idk I kinda wanted to put that in there right where he draws like a reminder even if I wouldn’t be there to encourage him in the moment.
