Is the hook effect real? I’m 6 weeks today and I’ve been taking a pregnancy test until my doctors appointment Wednesday just to make sure it’s not getting lighter. This morning when I woke up I took a test and it was a little bit lighter and really worried me. I looked it up and found hook effect and decided to take another test after drinking a lot. Now the line is just as dark as the control line (I’m using $.88 tests) so I’m guessing it is the hook effect? I’m just terrified that I’m going to miscarry this baby and I just want to be cautious.
