Should you refrain from posting things like this?

**Based on a conversation I had earlier**

So, things like, but not limited to:

- engagement rings

- BFPs

- pregnancy announcements in general

Is posting things like this insensitive to others and their struggles?

Should people refrain from posting their big engagement rings because others are having relationship problems?

Should people refrain from posting their BFPs because others struggle with infertility?

**Disclaimer: I’m really bad at words**

But personally I disagree with this idea and think there’s nothing wrong with sharing milestones in your life, and if people want to be spiteful, they can be spiteful. I don’t think you should have to downplay your significant milestones because you feel like you have to tiptoe around others. However, I think there’s a big difference between a short little post of joy and boasting 24/7. Although, I’m not trying to conceive (so don’t know about my fertility) or having relationship problems, so maybe I don’t understand on that level.

What are your thoughts on this?
