How long before ttc again after ectopic and methotrexate shot?

Why is it that most doctors have been telling their patients to wait one full cycle before ttc after methotrexate for EP, but all the articles I've read say to wait at least 3 to build up folic acid again? Would like to hear what other doctors recommended for this?

I know this post is old but my doctor recommended 3 months. I have had one injection thus far. I also read that if you have two injections, you have to wait 6 months. But it’s hard to know what to believe because I’ve also read some doctors say you don’t need to wait at all. Can I ask you to share your story with me?
