Letting your child go to a party with lice?

My uncles girlfriend just found out her son has lice while giving him a shower. She got him dressed and left to a family party that I am also attending. I texted my mom telling her to warn my Uncle that is throwing the party. My mom said “kids always have lice, just don’t let them in your room when they’re there”.

I’m just so ????? Like just because it’s common doesn’t mean all kids are just running around with lice. Idk i feel like he shouldn’t be at the party where other kids could potentially get it. I would be pissed if my kid got lice and the parent knowingly took them to the party, am I being dramatic ?
