Middle name: Choosing a name that might make a grandparent upset

We are getting ready to have our second son, and final child. I would love to give him my stepfathers name as his middle name. My parents divorced when I was 12, and my dad has been around but pretty detached since then. My stepdad has been around a lot more and a better influence and mentor in my life. Plus my current kids love him and don’t really know my dad. I’m worried though that naming my son after him (even though it’s just a middle name) will cause some drama and hurt feelings. Should I just use the name I like and hope for the best? Or is it better to avoid the drama?
