Water leaking?

Has anyone experienced a very slow leak from water breaking? This morning i felt/heard a small pop towards the top of my belly by my ribs, since then my panties and liners have continued to be damp throughout the day. Its just slightly damp not terrible. Iv had a few strong contractions and babys movement has seemed to decrease quite a bit but im still feeling him.....did my water break? Is baby in distress or getting ready to come? Its been 17 hrs since i heard the pop and about 12 since i noticed the slight dampness.
