implantation bleeding?

my bf and I have sex frequently and its always protected plus im on the pill. my period is supposed to start in 10 days and this just started happening. is this implantation bleeding?

It could be breakthrough bleeding - quite common when you're on the pill, especially if you've missed one or taken it late. Definitely doesn't look like implantation bleeding, and if you're taking the pill correctly you wouldn't ovulate. If you're not taking it correctly, 10 days before your cycle bleed (because it's not a period in the strictest sense when you're on the pill) you wouldn't be anywhere near the time of implantation as this occurs 6-12dpo and you would potentially be around 3/4dpo
