Do...people really... not know?

Maybe its these 3rd trimester hormone levels making everything annoying... but  do people really not know that sex and gender are two different things. Is that not a thing people know? Or are we supoosed to forget about that because parties are fun and gender reveals are one of the few parites you get to have when you are expecting? I mean I'll be a good sport if someone would just explain 😂😂😂

I think it's the hormones. the two are used interchangeably even on most official forms. try not to take so much offense to people celebrating what little they know about their child.

No I agree. I keep jokingly/seriously saying to my partner we should have a “gender is a social construct” party. It would be way more fun for everyone, I think!

I can agree to disagree, I think the reason people do gender reveals and celebrate this is to bond with the child they assume they will have. I'd rather do that than assume my child will be apart of the 1.6 percent of children who don't feel they belong in the gender they were born and NOT celebrate who they are likely to be. I don't see why we shouldn't be celebrating the other 98.4 percent of babies who WILL fit their assigned gender.
