Day 22 Bloodtest Question

I have just completed my first round of femara. I have been doing opks religiously and finally got a positive on CD 21 and CD 22. I tested again in CD 23 and it was negative. I had my progesterone checked on CD 23 (because of the holiday Monday) and the results came back at 8.5. I'm just wondering if I should have had my progesterone tested layer because I likely would have juuuust ovulated that day. Does anyone have any insight on this? Thanks so much!
