phone charger with long as fuck cord, snacks, cash for snacks, chapstick, hair tyes, folder for all babies paperwork, reusable shopping bag for all the extra shit they give you, going home outfit for you both, nursing bras, nursing nightgown, robe, makeup, toiletries, make sure you take home pads, mesh panties and dermoplast, pacifier and bottles if you're bottle feeding, breastfeeding pillow if you're boob feeding, socks, house shoes, flip flops for the shower, your own towel, your own pillows.

Let the hospital give you as much as they can!! I only took clothes and a couple onesies for the baby..

Phone chargers
Phones 
Toothbrushes (hubby and me)
Soaps 
Hair conditioner and shampoo
Lotion 
I used the hospitals
Pads
Baby Diapers
Disposable Underwear( I lived in them for about a week after leaving to!!! I was not ruining mine!!)
I think I took enough, and was in the hospital for a week from being induced and having a C Section.
Next time around I will be bringing my own pillows and a comfy throw blanket!!!

for me the hospital had everything i needed! for me and baby, we overpacked lol. They supplied diapers, (the good kind), wipes, formula, if you go that route, baby clothes, pads, THE BEST netted underwear, hygiene stuff, food, snacks, etc. Everywhere is different though. If I did it again knowing this I would still over pack, just in case. I would pack hygiene items for sure no matter what just to be sure and extra snacks that you would like to have. you don't really need much. I wore a hospital gown the whole time so I would get my own stuff messy. I would just pack undies and something comfy to go home in and a few outfits for baby. Most importantly if dad is going to stay with you the whole time, I would say make sure he packs well. we forget about dad but they can shower there and stuff, my daughter father didn't pack anything because we didnt think about it so he left everyday to shower and get food which is ok but I would still suggest bringing a few things for dad to be comfy too!

- baby carseat or have someone bring it. must have to leave with baby. can leave in your car until you need it.     - baby clothes most hospitals offer baby photos day of birth.     - bluetooth speaker great for while in labor to relax or play softly while there for the next few days if you dont want to watch tv.     - super long extension cord and chargers to all of your devices..     - ace bandages if you dont plan to nurse helps with engorged breast.    -  hair supplies and makeup.. guest will come and want pictures but thats up to you to agree or not..     - favorite throw to use.. hospital blankets sometimes or itchy to me .   - hospital will provide formula,  diapers wipes all brand name use them mine even gave me a free extra And everything in my room i could take home for the baby to use later.  almost forgot most important one!          ******* HAND-SANITIZER******* for guest coming that want to hold baby wash hands and use hand sanitizer.  it's flu season last thing you want is a sick newborn.

Unless you want something specific, they have all hygiene supplies. I'd bring my own socks, a robe, and some comfy clothes to leave in. They will give you these horribly ugly, but oh so comfortable, pads and mesh undies. they are heaven. ask for extra to take home.
