Should I tell him? I’m in love w my bff

So... i realllyyy like my best friend. he is my everything. i tell him everything and i don’t want to mess up our friendship, but keep in this secret is killing me. we have been friends since diapers and are practically family. i just don’t know what to do or say. he said he doesn’t want to be in a relationship ( not specifically with me, but in one in general) but he is on my mind 24/7. what should i do??!?!

he says he only wants a girl to like make out with and stuff and i don’t know if i should just go with that, but risk getting my heart broken in the process, or should i tell him how i feel and maybe lose him as not only my best friend, but family?!?!?
