weight loss surgery, other health concerns, and the first trimester.

Jenn 🤰💟💙🍼 *Twins due mid July* In love already

Hi ladies! Congrats to those who are newly expecting. I am 5 weeks tomorrow. As of January 5, 2018, it will be 5 years post op from RNY gastric bypass surgery. I have lost over 150lbs. and kept all of it off for 5 years. Prior to finding out I was pregs, I had a lot of issues with lack of appetite, weight loss, and some mild vitamin deficiency. I was losing weight even at 5 yrs post op. In addition, my last pap smear came back abnormal for abnormal cervical cells. I had a colposcopy on December 7th and cervical biopsy. I was also diagnosed with HPV. In the midst of worrying about biopsy results, husband and I were intimate on December 17th, while waiting for the results on December 21st. It was a very, very trying time, as I feared it was cancer related. I also feared Biopsy results and the impact all this would or could have on fertility, should the biopsy results come bck with something bad. Well, results came back as a benign tumor, CIN 1. Gyn wanted to do treatment by removing more of the abnormal cervical cells in another procedure requiring anesthesia. Needless to say, I did not have the procedure, as I found out I am pregnant after taking 5 tests. i have so many concerns, but ive gined 5 lbs, my appetite has never been better, and i am treating my body like the temple it is since finding out about baby. I meet with thr gyn next week, who will be very surprised im there to report pregnancy, and not schedule a procedure. i still haven so many fears, and have no one to cofide in just yet until i tell my family, but was wondering if anyone else can relate or at least relate to all the fears of potential what if's that run through your head. i think i just needed to vent ❤ scared, but hopeful and strong 💙😍🌹
