New Years kiss

So here the thing, since my freshman year, I’ve had a huge crush on this guy I met in class and we’ve been friends since he graduated last year. My sister is marrying his best friend so he came to our New Years party AND LEMME TELL YALL I GOT WASTED but I stopped drinking at about 11 so I could sober up and get to bed soon. Well apparently this boy (mind you he’s a full grown marine now) has had feelings for me and stood in front of me as everyone counted down. I was yelling 5 4 3 2... and then he grabbed me and kissed me. I was so shocked I kissed him again. He just held me while everyone yelled and joked about New Years and drinking, but it’s like I was dreaming. Sadly he had to get back to base in Missouri the next day

and we were in Florida at the time so we spent the night just talking and laughing at each other until I fell asleep on him. Now I get to call him mine and it still feels like a dream.
