My daughter is about to turn 9, and my step daughter turned 9 a few months back... I personally feel 9 is too young to be even thinking about such things esp since when I was 9 or so nobody my age really entered far passed kissing. But these days, I know I know 🙄

Hell, I didn’t start menses or start kissing until I was 16, lost my virginity at 17.

Anywho—- my step daughter knows the birds and bees story, whatever version her stepfather told her when she was 7/8 years old.

But now my daughter asks questions about how babies are born, and she knows a dr helps get them out and she knows they come from your private area.

I know these days girls menses is starting significantly earlier than in my day and age and I always thought that would be our first talk. She never asked questions about sex or boys body parts. She has inquired about my periods and I’ve told her briefly basics on that but it was a couple of years

Any moms have any advice for me ?

What did you tell your kids?

**yes I keep hearing “9 is too late you should of done it way earlier”... well the fact is, we didn’t. So now I’m asking other mothers advice on how to properly have this talk with a child. I’ve had to delete a couple of mean, inappropriate comments already. Please only respond if you have some sort of advice or are telling me how you told your kids. Thanks**
