Will I get an ultrasound?

I am going to my 12 week appointment on Tuesday 1/9/18 and am wondering if they will give me an ultrasound. I have had two already. One at 6 weeks and another at 8 to see if all was going well. I just want a visual to see if my baby is still growing at a good pace. If I don’t get one this time I’ll have to wait until 20 weeks for another one 😭😭 Just a nervous first time mama.

At my 12 week appointment they used a Doppler to locate the heartbeat. It completely depends on your doctor and sometimes on your insurance. My first ultrasound was at 12+6 for optional genetic screening. If I had declined it, I wouldn’t have had an ultrasound at all until 20 weeks.

I had one at 6 weeks and wait until 21 weeks 🤷‍♀️ think it depends where you live and if your high risk or not

im in the same boat i wont see my little bean until 20 weeks! i feel as if it's crazy and how do they no its growing right ?  crazy thoughts i guess

My doc only does an ultrasound at 12 weeks if you are undergoing the NT testing. We opted out of it, so now we have to wait til our anatomy scan at 20 weeks to see baby again.

I will do that. They gave me a paper with a list of the appointments and what they do during. 12 weeks said I will hear the heartbeat for the first time, although at 8 weeks the tech let me listen.

Ask your OB. They probably will but if you want to know when they do ultrasounds Just ask
