My 18 month old son "Noah" doesn't really talk yet is anyone else going through this?

I'm just very concerned that my 18month old isn't talking yet.

My daughter just turned 19 months and is only saying “mama”, “dada” and “bye.” We we’re referred to the Infant Toddler program on my state. They evaluated her and found no cognitive delays or anything like that, just her communication. We’re going to set up a plan and they’re going to work with her (and me to make sure I’m doing the work at home) for he next 6 months to get her communicating. I would ask your pediatrician about a referral to your state’s (if you’re in the US) program. It’s through the government but has nothing to do with your income etc.  Good luck. mine doesn't talk much either she says like maybe 10 words. and some days she goes the whole day without saying one. just had 18 month appt and pedi said she is fine she is just quiet. at 2 year appt it will be a concern if not talking.

Does he try to talk? Did he babble and coo when he was younger? All kids are different so it’s hard to say from the info you gave.

Same. I sought out Early Intervention services at 15 months. He has a weekly teacher that comes over and works with him for speech. My previous 2 children also had speech delays, so I knew what to look out for. I did not want to wait until he was 2 so he would be further behind just in case he still wasn't talking.

My 18 month old is on the same pagr, babbles but doesnt say words. He understands what we tell him amd does sign language. Ive always heard boys develope slower talking wise. He wont talk but he can play hockey! and very well at that
