My MIL said her sister was going to have a baby shower for me but haven’t heard anything else about it...

No one on my side has offered to host a baby shower but my MIL has mentioned her sister is going to do one but I have heard nothing else. I am 25 weeks and would love to have it before 32 weeks but i feel so awkward requesting a time when nothing else has been mentioned about it. We have bought nothing for the baby (plan to buy nursery furniture in the next 2 weeks) but if a shower isn’t happening I would just like to know. I guess it could be too early but I would think they might ask when. Maybe they think it’s too early to plan and maybe it is? Any thoughts? When do you usually plan and have a baby shower? I would think invitations would go out a month before but I could be wrong! Advice would be appreciated!
