I love tea! Is tea okay?

Has anyone come across a safe tea to drink during the first trimester?

I know that chamomile is safe, as is peppermint and ginger. A lot of mixed herbal teas aren’t safe but these are.

I drank camomile tea all thought it my last pregnancy. I then read in my text book from  nursing school that’s it harmful. This picture was taken from my textbook. Just wanted to help.

I absolutely loved tea before I found out I was pregnant but since some people say avoid tea, I’d rather be on the safe side and avoid all types of teas altogether.

My dr said chamomile, peppermint or ginger teas are safe. Don’t drink anything “too medicinal” (such as detox teas). I’ve been sticking with 1 ingredient tea.

I make my own every morning with fresh lemon and fresh ginger a touch of cinnamon and honey! It’s amazing and so good for you and baby.

you just have to take through the ingredients carefully. a few that you should avoid are: hibiscus, licorice root (like someone just said) and lemongrass. unfortunately, those three things seem to be in everything! 
I've also heard that red raspberry lead should be avoided in early pregnancy, but is ok in the last trimester. it's usually an ingredient in mother teas. so, no easy answer there!!

Some herbal teas aren’t safe so I always look it up first. For example, licorice is a no-go. Not that many people drink that tea haha but just be careful, especially with any that are used medicinally.

I’ve just purchased Yogi Mother-To-Be tea. I haven’t tried it yet but from a google search lots of people enjoy it! Someone said their midwife bought it for them :)

I have been drinking decaf tetley have only had it occasionally but I believe it’s fine
