my boyfriend was acting kind of weird and not very talkative to me and one day he said he was “at a crossroads”. he said one side of him wanted to be with me because he loves me but the other wanted to be ‘more free’

i strayed freaking out bc he was basically breaking up with me. i told him that i loved him and wanted to work things out.

then he said we should take a break. i told

him that i didn’t think it would work and that we would still be breaking up.

(at this point i’m crying a lot because i’m fairly young and he’s my first long term boyfriend and we both lost our virginity to each other and i love him)

he said that he realized he’d be losing me if he broke up with me and said he didn’t want that.

(now he’s crying because he said he didn’t want to lose me)

we ended up compromising on staying together as long as we communicate more.

here’s my question:

did i do something wrong by not letting him break up with me? he said that he didn’t want to lose me but i feel like i pressured him :(
